Who We Are

We are a Presbyterian (USA) congregation located in Esparto, California. Our quaint tall-steeple church, nestled in the Capay Valley north of Winters, was built in 1923.

Through the leadership of our elders and our pastor, Rev. Dr. Pamela Anderson, we have a refreshing vibrancy that meets the needs of the whole family. Our pastor is an outstanding sermonist and brings fresh insights and passion to each service. Our guiding principle is "Called by Christ to Care." Our church service feature sermons for both children and adults; children then enjoy a Sunday School program while adults remain in the sanctuary for the rest of the service.

Rev. Dr. Pamela Anderson

Dr. Anderson has been the solo pastor of Countryside Community Church since 2001. Pamela is also the primary guest chaplain for the California Senate and prior to her time in Esparto, spent seven years serving churches in Australia. She was one of seventeen ministers at Wesley Mission in Sydney, where she was also the lecturer and coordinator for their Generation X programs. Pamela was a regular voice on Sydney's 2GB national radio program and was interviewed by many national television programs and newspapers. She also coordinated over 80 programs, was the "Marriage Minister" and the speaker and coordinator for the Cairnmillar Institute's popular singles' lecture series at St. Michael's Uniting Church in Melbourne. Pamela is married to Marc and they have a beautiful little girl, Charlene Sydney, who goes by the nickname "Charlie."
